On the one side of your Defender is a plastic air intake on top of the front fender – the other side is just a dummy. This product simply takes the place of the plastic cover (use the same screws) and then allows access to a big space below.

This space is often used to mount a compressor. It is also lockable suitable to prevent a casual intruder.
